Mammha Care Is Looking for Contract Mental Health Therapists

Position Overview

Mammha is looking for Contract Mental Health Therapists with a demonstrated interest in working with people who are experiencing perinatal mental health complications like depression and anxiety and delivering fully remote, compassionate care to pregnant and postpartum people across the US.  In this role, you will be a key player in our efforts to prioritize perinatal mental health and expand access to comprehensive care. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and specialized community and to contribute to the expansion of a fast-growing, behavioral health company.

About Mammha Care

Mammha is a virtual hub for pregnancy and postpartum mental health that was created to close the crucial gaps in maternal mental health care. As mothers, advocates, clinicians, and physicians who slipped through the cracks when we experienced our own mental health crises, we are working tirelessly to establish the new gold standard of care for everyone who is pregnant or has given birth. Mammha is female-founded, a partner of March of Dimes, and a winner of the Department of Health and Human Services Postpartum Equity Challenge and the Johnson & Johnson Quickfire Challenge. 

Licensed Therapist Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or a related field that allows for clinical licensure.

  • Active, Independent Clinical License* is required in one or more states in the US. We are looking to contract in every state.

  • Professional malpractice liability insurance with coverage limits of $1,000,000/$3,000,000 

  • Type 1 (individual) NPI number

What Mammha is Looking For

Clinical expertise using evidence-based models of care with a passion for supporting pregnant and postpartum populations to close gaps in care. Strong work ethic, good listening and communication skills, and an open mind. 


Scope of Work with Mammha

Conduct individual therapy sessions in a telemedicine setting for pregnant and postpartum populations living in states served by Mammha. Possibility of leading online group therapy for various reproductive populations. 

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Market rate commensurate with experience, average $60-$75

Responsibilities of the Licensed Therapist

  • Provide high-quality clinical assessment and treatment, interventions, and care in accordance with established best practices and medical necessity guidelines.

  • Develop measurable treatment plans tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each client.

  • Administer appropriate diagnostic assessment tools that align with the client’s clinical presentation.

  • Document all client interactions and sessions in accordance with established timeframes and compliance standards.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and communications in a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system.

  • Deliver culturally sensitive, client-centered care that is respectful of diversity.

  • Collaborate with Mammha’s support team to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care.
